Dr. Lee's Sinus School: The Effect of Needle pricking Therapy (Oriental Medicine)

Needle-pricking therapy on the nasal mucosa can successfully treat nasal congestion caused by rhinitis and facilitates the recovery process without having a prolonged course of medicines. Moreover, it reduces the risk of developing chronic rhinitis, by substantially reducing the swelling in the nasal mucosa. If you suffer from persistent stuffy nose and medicines fail to bring relief, it is most likely either your sinuses are filled with purulent fluid or the ostia are blocked. I am confident that draining the fluid, even just once, using a suction with a catheter, could bring a major relief to sufferers of sinusitis.

Clinically speaking, more than half of the patients I have accounted at the clinic experienced a satisfactory result after 10 to 20 visits. (However, there are some exceptional cases which required more extensive treatments, including a surgery)

Now, patients were taught at the clinic how they can do suction as a self-remedy at home. I came to believe, rhinitis and sinusitis can be easily treated by thoroughly removing the nasal discharge. The suction is an effective way of removing the fluid, and concurrently, it can prevent the condition from progress into sinusitis and otitis media.

There are other methods of self-care for the nose, such as nasal irrigation and blowing the nose. However, a little mechanical assistance can facilitate effective removal of the fluid, therefore, a suction is highly recommended. It is not a cost-free solution, however, having a suction device enables you to manage rhinitis and sinusitis yourself. This truly is a must-have item for every home.

I can only dream how wonderful it would be having every oriental medicine clinic administer acupuncture treatment for rhinitis patients or ENT clinics employ NCC to their suction.

All my experience treating ENT problems for 25 years are summarized in this book: The Sinus School. As a matter of fact, I run a sinus school with help of Seon eco-village where I live. The patients or doctors visiting my clinic participate in the sinus school program and they learn
how to treat sinusitis for a week or two.

The best way is to strengthen your immune system and breathe clean air. I recommend living a simple life in a country and live on a vegetarian diet. I myself do it and feel my condition's getting better everyday.
