Dr. Lee's Sinus School: Sinus Infection & Self Care Remedies

Hello, I am Dr. Lee (OMD), CEO of Cosoom Networks

<Dr. Lee Woojeong, CEO of Cosoom Networks,
the Society for Non-Invasive Snoring and Sleep Apnea Therapy>

When you suffer from sinus, many people consider getting a surgery. Yet, I say no to getting a surgery. If you receive a surgery, then the symptoms may stop but your nose and immunse system on the whole probably gets weaker. The best way to heal the problem is to recover your original condition.

LWJ method heals your sinus problems by acupuncture. Many patients do not believe they can heal
sinus problems by only acupuncture. However, this is proved through my method.

If you would like to learn my method and see how I have been treating patients, I recommend you to read my recent book, Sinus School, which is available on www.amazon.com

It contains 25 years of experience as a doctos who specifically deals with nose problems. Many cases are included. So you can check out what kind of patient you belong to.

Sinus Symptoms can be summarized as follow:
  • pain or pressure sensations over the involved areas of the face along with tenderness and swelling,
  • stuffy nose, or nasal congestion,
  • drainage or discharge from the nose,
  • cough,
  • earache,
  • pain in the jaw or teeth,
  • and nausea.

If you suffer from those symptoms, and take care your nose at home, I recommend several
home remedies

1 Prepare a cup of salt water at lukewarm temperature.

Pouring plain cold water into the nose can cause stingy sensation. It is similar as swimming pool water get into your nose. But lukewarm water that replicates mucus' natural salinity does not irritate the nasal mucosa as much. Once you get adjusted, the salinity level may not matter much.

2 While you are standing in front of the sink, pour warm salt water into one side of the nose. Alternate the side, while pinching the other side to close.

3 Try the salt water pour into your nose to come out through your mouth.

You could, however, adjust the amount of water pouring into your nose to drain out of your other nostril, instead of your mouth. As you gain experience, you may be able to pass the water into the mouth more easily. You should spit the water out in your mouth.

4 Repeat the procedure several times.

Sinusitis is a troubling disease, which requires a long regimen of antibiotics. If the condition does not respond well to medications, patients were reluctant to choose surgical options. Since I know of this, it placed a great burden in my heart whenever I see a sinusitis patient who suffered for an extensive period.

In the progress developing rhinitis and sinusitis treatments, the shape of the catheter has been modified. Moreover, a new way of applying acupuncture called, "panoramic acupuncture," that penetrates a needle into the upper palate, was developed. "Imyungchim," a type of auricular acupuncture, was invented to apply behind the ears and "Bichim" implant was designed to help the patients whose swelling does not subside easily by blood-pricking therapy alone. All these were possible, owing to patients' encouragement and patience.

LWJ method heals patients helping their natural immune system so that your body and nose gets
treated on the whole.

Easy Quick Solution to Your Nose by Dr. Lee's Sinus School

Easy Quick Solution to Your Nose by Dr. Lee's Sinus School

I see many patients suffering from sinusitis, allergic rhinitis, chronic snoring or sleep apnea. A lot of problems related to nose have a lot to do with your immune system and environmental pollution. Though you go to clinic regularly but you don't see much progress, I recommend you to do some self-care remedies invented by Dr. Lee.  = )

There are many ways to do this. However, the most cost-effective and easiest will be introduced here.

Prepare a cup of salt water at lukewarm temperature.

Pouring plain cold water into the nose can cause stingy sensation. It is similar as swimming pool water get into your nose. But lukewarm water that replicates mucus' natural salinity does not irritate the nasal mucosa as much. Once you get adjusted, the salinity level may not matter much.

Repeat the procedure several times.

Here is another method.

Hold a mouthful of salt water in your mouth.

Tilt your head forward, so that your forehead is positioned lower than the mouth.

Block one side of the nose and make a, "mmmm" sound, inducing the water in the mouth to run through the nasal passages.

Continuing the sound moves the water to follow the resonance, exiting trough the mouth. This can be done in seconds without wetting your face once you get used to it.

The last method requires a bulb syringe that you can purchase from a pharmacy.

Hopefully your condition of nose gets better by practicing these methods above.
If you do it once or twice a day after breakfast and supper, then your nose
condition will become fine soon.

Self- Care Remedies for Your Nasal Problems (Sinusitis, Rhinitis, Congestion)

Development of Self-Care Remedies for Sinusitis

It has been 20 year since I began my practice specializing in nasal disorders. For my patients, I introduced self-care remedies after they receive treatment. This is simple but very effective in treating your nose. I recommend this method for those who visit my blog, if you suffer from chronic sinusitis.

The first one is nasal irrigation. Among rhinitis and sinusitis patients, there were many patients who effectively manage their condition by flushing their nasal cavity, yielding better results than medications. This, however, requires persistence practices.

Nasal Irrigation

It is recommended for patients who suffer from nasal congestion and post nasal drip. Just as washing your face or brushing your teeth, it cleanses your mucous membrane of the nose. So we could say, this is tantamount to "washing the nose," in a tactful way. Practicing this, it helps clearing the nasal passages that was blocked with mucus, which caused difficulty breathing or swallowing into the backside of the throat. Along with mucus, other micro-organisms, fungus, dust and other irritants can be washed away at the same time, preventing the nasal condition from worsening and maintain in good condition.

Three Methods of Nasal Irrigation

There are many ways to do this. However, the most cost-effective and easiest will be introduced here. Firstly, stand over a sink.

While you are standing in front of the sink, pour warm salt water into one side of the nose. Alternate the side, while pinching the other side to close.

Try the salt water pour into your nose to come out through your mouth.

You could, however, adjust the amount of water pouring into your nose to drain out of your other nostril, instead of your mouth. As you gain experience, you may be able to pass the water into the mouth more easily. You should spit the water out in your mouth.

Fill a syringe with warm salt water.

Tilt your head so that one nostril is pointed down toward the sink and insert the tip of the syringe into your nose.

Gently squeeze the syringe.

The salt water goes into the nose and drains out the same way and exits to the sink. Occasionally, some portion of the water passes through the other side of the nose. Any water that goes to the back of the throat should be spit out.

Repeat on the other side in the same way.

Hopefully these methods will help you treat your nasal problems. I feel environment is connected to a human body. Where you live is closely connected to your health, thinking and way of living. If you love the nature around you then you will receive love from them. The increasing number of patients who suffer from nasal problems has a lot to do with environmental pollution.

Correlation of Environmental Pollution and Allergic Rhinitis

Correlation of Environmental Pollution, Earthquakes and Your Allergic Rhinitis

Watching the news late at night, I heard there was an earthquake in Taiwan. It had earthquakes last month, right? A few weeks ago, there was an earthquake of magnitude of 7 something in Vanuatu.
Earthquakes are a way of breathing for Earth in order to create a hole on earth. However, frequent earthquakes like nowadays have a lot to do with environmental pollution, I think. As the land for the Earth to breath gets smaller thanks to rash exploitation of the land, water and air, she causes earthquakes

As the body is also on one organic system, so does the Earth. Actually all living things are whether they are animals or plants are all alive. If you recognize the fact, you cannot just ignore even a small
living thing. Many patients visiting my clinic suffering from allergic rhinitis could not be found many when I was growing up. I believe it has a lot to do with air pollution. As the air is polluted, people's respiratory system got weakened.

The best way is to live in a clean area away from pollution. If you cannot do so, I recommend you to live on a vegetarian diet with brown rice. I myself becamesa vegetarian for this reason 5 years ago.
So people call me veggie doctor as well. = )

Treating Allergic Rhinitis and Atrophic Rhinitis Using Acupuncture

Either of acute and chronic rhinitis can be treated with drawing blood from the nasal mucous membranes using acupuncture

Inflammation caused by allergic rhinitis is not confined to the membrane lining of the nose, but it is a systematic condition inducing itchiness and discomfort in other parts of the body, including the eyes, conjunctiva, throat, inner ear and even anus. Therefore, treating the nose alone does not improve the condition. Subsequently, people must be mindful of changing their physical constitution through what they have on their table. Unless its symptoms are severe, a careful selection of what you eat can drive out the symptoms from the body. So, this case, I recommend patients to practice vegetarian diet.

The 3 common major symptoms of allergic rhinitis are transparent nasal discharge, sneezing and nasal congestion. However, clinical judgment being made during treatment is based on the severity of the sneezing. The frequency of sneezing subsides as the treatment progresses.

The dryness caused by under low secretion in the nasal mucosa and slight bleeding when blowing the nose are the symptoms atrophic rhinitis patients experience. Scatter-pricking the membranes reinvigorate their functions. Some constantly apply ointment, however this is not a fundamental approach.

The pricking therapy that rejuvenates the membranes is also applicable to other parts of the body.

Atrophic rhinitis patients may not feel the dryness in the entire nasal cavity. In observation, the entrance of the nasal cavity tends to be dry due to the atrophy and the membranes in the rear part of the nasal cavity are inflamed, causing excessive secretion. This type of rhinitis, therefore, exhibits both symptoms at the same time but both are treatable using the same pricking treatment in the nasal mucosa.

Let me introduce a treatment case:

A lady, close to sixty-years of age, with typical allergic rhinitis came to visit. Her sneezing came to ceases after 1 to 2 hours of constant sneezing in the morning and evening.

It had been over five years bearing the agony and she abstained herself from taking medicines for the condition. She experienced intense headaches as a side effect from the medications. She demonstrated amazing patience on her first visit; I was able to thoroughly prick the membranes of the nasal cavity.

Unlikely chronic rhinitis, which only needs to prick the most swollen region to treat the condition, allergic rhinitis requires the entire nasal mucosa to be pricked. The hypersensitive conditions can be improved by exhaustive pricking, as if every cell in the nasal mucosa needs to be cared for. The patient's cooperation to the treatment brought near-to-perfect cure. She occasionally visits the clinic to receive acupuncture to treat her infrequent sneezing.

Fine Dust anf Nasal Problems: Acupuncuture therapy without receiving a surgery

Hi, everyone. = )

I am Dr. Lee from the sinus school. Thesedays Korea experiences a long holiday. In May, we have a children's day, a parents' day and a teacher's day. Like the name of each day indicates, we celebrate three special days in May. Therefore, May is called 'a queen of season.' Tomorrow is parents' day. I have two children. They are all going to medical school. Yes, it became a family buisness. I don't know if I ever get to see them.

Though the weather is so beautiful, thanks to fine dust, people refrain from going outside and
stay inside. If you breathe fine dust inside the body, it will cause problems such as a respiratory disease or enters circulatory system unlike other dust.

As I was growing up, there were not many who suffer from respiratory diseases. Thesedays, a lot of my patiens visiting my clinic suffer from snoring, sleep apnea, allergic rhinitis, sinusitis and so on.
I feel nasal problems have a lot to do with environmental pollution.

The first way to treat the disease is that you control your health by doing regular excercises.
I live on a vegetarian diest with brown rice. Brown rice contains a lot of vitamin C and it helps
strengthen your immune system.

Though you live in a city, once or twice a week stay in a countryside whose air is cleaner than that of in a city. You can't never put much importance on air. The air you breathe and the foods you eat are actually what you are!

Today, let me introduce a case of a lady who used to suffer from allergic rhinitis. If you are worried about your allergic rhinitis and consider of getting a surgery, I recommend you to read this article first.

Environmental Pollution and Respiratory Diseases : Sleep apnea, snoring & Acupuncture Therapy

Hello, I am Dr. Lee from Goheung, South Korea.
It rains a lot thesedays though it's not a rainy season.
I feel the weather changes more fast than before as I live in a country side.
Korea is famous for her vivid four seasons, yet it seems like we have very short spring and long long summer and winter. Autumn is also very short. I guess the weather changes like this due to global warming. Yet, it's still beautiful around here. See?

The number of patients who suffer from a respiratory disease increases every year. You cannot deny this is a lot to do with environmental pollution. Therefore, I recommend my patients to live on a vegetarian diet with brown rice. It helps strengthen your immune system.

Here I introduce one of my patients who suffered from snoring and tonsilltis who hadn't been aware of his symptoms throughout his life.

He was able to breathe through nose after treatment.
He no longer breathes through his mouth.

This case was more severe. He suffered from rhinitis, nose congestion and neck pain symptoms.

This patient visited my clinic as he suffered from sleep apnea
