Spring Has Come: Beautiful Flowers Everywhere

Spring Has Come: Beautiful Flowers Everywhere

Hello, I am Dr. Lee, president of sinus school. Today, let me show you surroundings of the village
where I live. Yes! I am a country doctor!

A kitten knocked on the door and said, "milk please."
She lives in the neighborhood but often visits my house.
Her name is piggy because she eats really a lot!
How can I resiste her when she looks at me like this?

You can see camelia flowers in the village where I live often.
They are everywhere. In Korea women used oil from this flower for their hair. It's high quality.

Isn't this beautiful. Whenever I pass by this house, I stop for a while and say high to
this apricot tree.

A small waterway. Water finally flows fast because it is a farming season now.

In the southern area where I live, farms plant usually green onions.
You now watch  a green onion field.

It's been 5 years since I left Seoul, the biggest city in Korea. Running a clinic, I was worried how mnay patiend would come to this faraway country. Well, now I see miracles everyday! Nose problems have a lot to do with environmental problems. Patients visiting my clinic stay in the eco-village where I live and live on a vegetarian diet during their treatment period. Then I see their coundition gets better so fast. You immune system gets strengthened. I believe living in a air clean area and live on a vegetarian diet with brown rice will help you strengthen your nose condition as well as your immune system.

This is a recent book of mine published on www.amazon.com
You can get information on your nose problems.
25 years of experience as ENT doctor is contained
in this book.

Dr. Lee's Sinus School: The Effect of Needle pricking Therapy (Oriental Medicine)

Needle-pricking therapy on the nasal mucosa can successfully treat nasal congestion caused by rhinitis and facilitates the recovery process without having a prolonged course of medicines. Moreover, it reduces the risk of developing chronic rhinitis, by substantially reducing the swelling in the nasal mucosa. If you suffer from persistent stuffy nose and medicines fail to bring relief, it is most likely either your sinuses are filled with purulent fluid or the ostia are blocked. I am confident that draining the fluid, even just once, using a suction with a catheter, could bring a major relief to sufferers of sinusitis.

Clinically speaking, more than half of the patients I have accounted at the clinic experienced a satisfactory result after 10 to 20 visits. (However, there are some exceptional cases which required more extensive treatments, including a surgery)

Now, patients were taught at the clinic how they can do suction as a self-remedy at home. I came to believe, rhinitis and sinusitis can be easily treated by thoroughly removing the nasal discharge. The suction is an effective way of removing the fluid, and concurrently, it can prevent the condition from progress into sinusitis and otitis media.

There are other methods of self-care for the nose, such as nasal irrigation and blowing the nose. However, a little mechanical assistance can facilitate effective removal of the fluid, therefore, a suction is highly recommended. It is not a cost-free solution, however, having a suction device enables you to manage rhinitis and sinusitis yourself. This truly is a must-have item for every home.

I can only dream how wonderful it would be having every oriental medicine clinic administer acupuncture treatment for rhinitis patients or ENT clinics employ NCC to their suction.

All my experience treating ENT problems for 25 years are summarized in this book: The Sinus School. As a matter of fact, I run a sinus school with help of Seon eco-village where I live. The patients or doctors visiting my clinic participate in the sinus school program and they learn
how to treat sinusitis for a week or two.

The best way is to strengthen your immune system and breathe clean air. I recommend living a simple life in a country and live on a vegetarian diet. I myself do it and feel my condition's getting better everyday.

The Eco Village Where I live: Dr. Lee's Sinus School Diary

Introducing the seonae Village

Seonae Village – the village where people love human beings, nature and Heaven
The Seonae Village is the eco-community under cultivation by those wanting to heal their minds. At present, there are currently 12 eco villages around the world, with the oldest eco village being in South Korea:   Gidaeri Seonaeville.
The meaning of Seonae Village is a village that loves “Seon”.
The shape of Chinese character, Seon, signifies the co-existence of human beings and mountains; here the mountain signifies nature, the Universe and, furthermore, everything. We can say Seon is the condition where humans, nature and Heaven communicate and are harmonized with each other.
Consequently, we can define Seonae Village as the village where people love human beings, nature and Heaven.

Spring Has Come to Our Eco-Village! (Sinus School by Dr. Lee Woo Jeong)

Spring Has Come to Our Eco-Village!

Hello, buddies. Spring has come to our village. Everybody's busy planting seeds.
Let me give you a special guided tour to our eco-villlage.

We are digging the ground in order to plant some trees. They are fruit trees so that we can eat when they grow up!

In a yellow handcart, you can smell beautiful scent of natural fertilizer.

Kids in the village also help planting trees.

And they are baby soybean sprouts! Their leaves are heart shaped.

Here is a lists of seeds we are going to plant in our garden. They are going to be cabbages, pumpkins, crown daisies, chicories, celeries and so on. Hmm....yummy~~~

To the patients visiting my clinic, I recommend vegetarian diet. Many of patiens have nasal problems due to their weak immune system. Thus, strengthening one's immune system help heal their sinusitis, rhinitis, sleep apnea or many other nasal problems. In order to strengthen your immune system, the best and simpe way to do at home is to change your way of life style. Come back to vegetarian diet and brown rice. Brown rice is really good to your body.

Self-care remedies for rhinitis and sinusits you can apply at home

The other day I posted remedies that you can apply at home.
That posting was a hit, so I explain it again.
If you would like to know more information on self-treatment
for your nose, visit my youtube channel, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mijfLwBuW-0

Here you will watch a self-suction method by Dr. Lee's method.

Prepare a cup of salt water at lukewarm temperature.

Pouring plain cold water into the nose can cause stingy sensation. It is similar as swimming pool water get into your nose. But lukewarm water that replicates mucus' natural salinity does not irritate the nasal mucosa as much. Once you get adjusted, the salinity level may not matter much.

While you are standing in front of the sink, pour warm salt water into one side of the nose. Alternate the side, while pinching the other side to close.

Try the salt water pour into your nose to come out through your mouth.
You could, however, adjust the amount of water pouring into your nose to drain out of your other nostril, instead of your mouth. As you gain experience, you may be able to pass the water into the mouth more easily. You should spit the water out in your mouth.

Repeat the procedure several times.

Or you can appply this method. (This method requires bulb syringe)

Hold a mouthful of salt water in your mouth.

Tilt your head forward, so that your forehead is positioned lower than the mouth.

Block one side of the nose and make a, "mmmm" sound, inducing the water in the mouth to run through the nasal passages.

Continuing the sound moves the water to follow the resonance, exiting trough the mouth. This can be done in seconds without wetting your face once you get used to it.

The last method requires a bulb syringe that you can purchase from a pharmacy.

Fill a syringe with warm salt water.

Tilt your head so that one nostril is pointed down toward the sink and insert the tip of the syringe into your nose.

Gently squeeze the syringe.

The salt water goes into the nose and drains out the same way and exits to the sink. Occasionally, some portion of the water passes through the other side of the nose. Any water that goes to the back of the throat should be spit out.

Repeat on the other side in the same way.

Self-Care Remedies for Sinusitis

Hello, hopefully everyone's having a nice friday. Tomorrow is saturday and it's a beginning of
our weekend! Feel free and be happy.

Today I brought an issue regarding self-care remedies. While I am treating patients, I feel some of them need at home remedies to strengthen their nasal functions.

It has been 20 year since I began my practice specializing in nasal disorders.

Initially, I was taking a bit slow in applying acupuncture into the nasal mucosa of those who suffer from nasal congestion.

Patients expressed discomfort in the beginning, however, after they experienced its efficacy better than that of conventional drug therapy; they continued their effort to come to the clinic. As my clinical experience increased, I became able to examine the nasal cavity more thoroughly and applied acupuncture to broader region.

The patients expressed satisfaction at their instant relief gained through blood-pricking therapy which restored their nasal breathing. People who are more susceptible to pain may think differently, however, those sufferers of nasal conditions considered the brief moment of pain is definitely worth bearing for the cure. I took their words and became more confident in applying the acupuncture.

Three Methods of Nasal Irrigation

There are many ways to do this. However, the most cost-effective and easiest will be introduced here. Firstly, stand over a sink.

Repeat the procedure several times.

Here is another method.

It's that simple! Whether you suffer from sinusitis or not, this way of treatment is helpful to better your condition of nose.

Thank you for reading.

Do you have sleep apnea? (Sleep apnea & snoring)

Dr. Lee's Sinus School : Sleep Apnea & Snoring

Do you have sleep apnea?

Hello, I am Dr. Lee, president of Sinus school. Today let me tell you symptoms and treatment of sleep apnea. = )

It is actuall a common disorder where you have one or more pauses in breathing or shallow

breaths in your sleep. Yet, it can be serious because your breathing repeatedly stops and starts.

Here is the stage of snoring. Find out which stage you are in now.

The Level of Snoring

Stage 0: Clear inhaling with no sound during a deep sleep - Healthy

Stage 1: Slight snoring at the beginning of a deep sleep - Good

Stage 2: Periodical snoring - Slightly blocked sinuses

Stage 3: Repeat loud and soft snoring Heavily congested sinuses

Stage 4: No snoring, but breathing through the mouth - Worse than Stage 3

Stage 5: Sleeping with an open mouth

Stage 6: Possible sleep apnea syndrome

Stage 0 indicates healthy state of the sinuses. Stage 1, which exhibits slight snoring in the begging of sleep is considered to be in a good state. Stage 2 indicates a partial blockage somewhere in the paranasal sinuses. In stage 3, it exhibits the alternating pattern of loud and soft snoring, caused by more blocked sinuses.

People who belong to stage 4 may not have loud snoring, but mouth breathing is being carried out in a subtle manner. No one hardly recognizes the seriousness of the condition, but this could be more devastating than snoring. The sinuses are more blocked than the previous stage.

If the sinuses become more obstructed than stage 3, nasal breathing becomes more difficult, leading the mouth to open. Breathing through both mouth and the nose does not vibrate the uvula. Subtle mouth breathing does not create enough negative pressure to move the uvula to generate sound.

In some cases, people inhale through the nose and exhale through their mouth, making it difficult to define it as snoring, however, the blockage is more serious than the 3rd stage. Feeling dryness in the throat, lips, or mouth after waking up, or soreness in the throat, or drooling marks mouth breathing. People who frequently suffer from the following symptoms should look into this matter carefully: sore throat, tonsillitis, slight cough, bronchitis, laryngitis.

At stage 5, people, whose sinuses are almost completely blocked, complain fatigue after waking up. Their mouth is opened during their sleep and the uvula vibrates over night. At this stage, people begin to think the snoring could be the underlying reason for the tiredness.

Sleep apnea becomes apparent at stage 6, much of the ostiomeatal complex is constricted, inducing severe breathing difficulty. While this stage of sleep apnea is very critical, stage 4 requires the utmost attention to diagnose. Most patients do not snore at that stage, but they are unaware of mouth breathing without snoring is more critical than snoring with their mouth closed.

I can assure that restoring the ventilation in the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses can improve snoring as well as sleep apnea in every stage of snoring.

Okay, hope this information would be of help for you to discover your correct symptoms.

Next time, I will reach you with "what is sleep apnea?"

Your snoring, sleep apnea, rhinitis or sinusitis can be cured through acupuncture.
It is a fundamental treatment that help the original function of nose.
That is the power of Korean medicine with thousands of history.
